Males are quite colorful but slow to color. This fish normally takes until 4.5 to 5" to show full color. They have blue lips, blue on the upper face, and dorsal fins. The lower face is green and their belly area is yellow. A rare one may show yellow on the lower face. Yellow stripes run across the body between black stripes and blue areas. Red appears on the tail, the upper edge of their dorsal fin and the anal fin. Peaceful. Mixes well with other more peaceful single male Peacocks and Haplochromis.
This fish is not widely available yet. CAS may be one of the few places to find it.
Brought in 3" or larger males depending on demand. They may also be available through my special order lists. Due to the current 3" and larger shortage, it may be a while until I am able to get any more.
The base price is for a 3" Little Color Male. The price is higher because the whole price on them is higher.
Best Kept in single all-male tanks. 90 gallons or more tank recommended, 120 gallons, foot wide tanks are better. It is hard to beat the color of an all-male African Cichlid Tank.
Little Color has just a hint of color around the edges
1/2 color has red on the dorsal fin, around the edges, and some yellow on the lower chin.
