• Chilotilapia rhoadeseii

Males are Blue-Green with red on their anal fins and dorsal fin. Young males show the blue-green on their heads at first. The body color improves with age.   Some also show red on the tail.  The photo is from a male I sold some time back that was in full color. These fish are slow to color. They generally do not begin to show full color until 4" or more.

These fish are sometimes available on my special order lists.

See https://www.cichlidsarespecial.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=89  when I am ordering from my wholesaler.

Occasionally some 3" or larger males may be in stock

Base Price is for 3" Part Color Male

Best kept in single males in all male tanks. They mix best with larger Haplochromis and Larger Jacobfreibergi type peacocks in a 4-foot wide (120-Gallon) or larger tank.

Best mix of sex for breeding is one male with five or six females.
