Paralabidochromis chromogynos Black Piebald are cream with black spots. Males develop a yellowish body with black blotches, blue on the face, both light blue and dark blue on the dorsal fin with a thin upper red edge, blue and red tail, red anal fin and dark blue ventral fins. The photo is of a male in full breeding dress. Female fry from this fish can occasionally show no piebald spots. These fish can be difficult to get to full color. High demand and low supply are causing this fish's price to rise from my farm sources. C.A.R.E.S. Progam Fish: Critically Endangered facing a high risk of extinction in the wild.
These fish are no longer carried in-house; but, will be occasionally available on a special order list
see https://www.cichlidsarespecial.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=89 when I am ordering from my wholesaler.
